  • We moved on the 28th, and haven't had Internet access until just now (11 AM on the 30th).  I still don't have my email account set up with my new Internet provider, and so my jessica@jmeacham.com  email won't get forwarded properly until I do (it is forwarding to my previous Internet provider email account.  Sorry about any inconveniences.  I hope to get it all sorted out sometime tomorrow (Sunday).  As for website updates....that is on the waaaayyyyy BACK BURNER for now, as I'm very busy unpacking, organizing, and cleaning at the house ON TOP of planning, organizing, and getting ready at school.

  • I feel like I am disappointing many of you with not having many updates (new things).  I also feel that I need to explain why.  WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!  We started looking on 7.7.08 and put in a bid on 7.12.08 - - and we close on 8.29.08.  I now find myself in the midst of a flurry of activity and emotions!  I feel very busy, and not at all motivated to do website building.  I am sure you might understand my dilemma (house hunting/financing/buying/packing/moving and starting a new school year all within a 7-week time frame is hard to do)!!!

  • Wow!  Thank  you all for the warm welcome back!  I have truly enjoyed  your email messages.  I've just about finished responding to the 229 emails I've received in the past 7 days.  I have about 27 of them left to respond to in my inbox.  Thank you for your patience as I continue to add to the site and "iron out the wrinkles" that I find, or that visitors find.  I appreciate reports of broken links, etc, but just remember that not every page on the homepage has been linked yet. Right now, the only pages that really need a lot of work are Guided Reading, Writer's Workshop, Reader's Workshop, and Graph of the Week/Day.  I do thank you for being patient.  I am a "1-woman-band" when it comes to responding to emails and website building and I can only move so fast.  LOL!  Again, I appreciate your warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm.

  • I'm back! :)  I've missed website building, but definitely enjoyed my time away.  A lot of people have asked me what I've been up to.  Well, since last August (2007), I've been meeting with two fantastically, talented ladies from my church and we've been writing Vacation Bible School curriculum.  It has been a very rewarding experience.  Another project that has been vying for my attention has been my Technology Grant Project.  I attended 10 technology classes last August (1/2 day session for each class).  Our small (3-person) grant team decided on a project and worked our way through all of the project requirements.  I now know a lot more about movie making!  :)   Additionally, I took a Frameworks Course (7 day-long classes) and moved on up to teaching 1st Grade after having been in Kindergarten for a couple of years.  While I feel refreshed after having been away from site building, I also fee very behind!  I had no time to update/add to the site.  So if you were expecting NEW things right away...I hate to disappoint, but it will take time for me to gather my wits and begin the game of "catch up."  It will be a fun journey for me though....  My email is back up and running, so feel free to email any questions, comments, or suggestions!  I'll try to respond in a timely manner!
