My beliefs about writing, stem from the books that I have read about emergent writers. The lessons on this page currently reflect the lessons that I've used with Kindergarteners. I plan to use many of them again, when teaching first graders next year; however, the pace will hasten, and we will delve more into the 6 Traits of writing, with a primary focus on IDEAS, CONVENTIONS, and WORD CHOICE. You will see the beginnings of my mini lessons emerge on this page over the summer, and over the 2007 - 2008 school year.
